Churchverse (churchverse.app)

You can delete your Churchverse account yourself, inside the app, at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted and what your church keeps, and how to ask us if you cannot sign in.

Delete your account in the app

1. Sign in at churchverse.app or in the Churchverse app.
2. Tap your photo at the top of the screen (My account).
3. Under Danger zone, tap Delete my account.
4. Read what will happen, type your first name (or the word DELETE) and tap Delete my account. If you signed in a while ago, you are asked to sign in again first.

You are signed out, and we email you the date your account will be deleted.

14 days to change your mind

Your account is deleted 14 days after you ask. Until then you can still sign in: the app tells you the date and offers Cancel deletion (everything stays as it was) or Continue deleting (you are signed out again). After 14 days the deletion happens automatically and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in to Churchverse (your email and password, or the link to your Google account).
• Your account record: name and email on the account, your devices, notification subscriptions and preferences.
• Your saved views and layouts, your Ask AI conversation history, and your support chat with us.
• Your sign-in history, the device check-in links tied to your account, and your role links to churches.

What your church keeps

Each church owns its own records. Your profile card in a church (the details the church recorded, your attendance and its notes) stays with that church and is unlinked from your account; nobody can sign in to it any more. To have a church profile erased as well, ask that church's administrators: they can delete a profile permanently. Usage records a church is billed for keep their totals without your account id. Security and backup copies are removed on their normal schedule (at most 90 days).

If you own a church on Churchverse, hand the church over to another administrator or delete the church first; the app will tell you so.

Cannot sign in?

Email us from the address you sign in with and we will delete the account for you:

Use the subject Account deletion request. We may reply to confirm the request comes from the account's owner before we delete anything.

Delete some of your data, keep your account

You do not have to delete your account to remove some of your data. In the app you can:

• Edit or clear your details. On your personal details card, tap Update. You can change your phone number, WhatsApp, area, date of birth, job title and the other fields shown, and clear WhatsApp, date of birth and job title. Your sign-in email can only be changed by your church's servants.
• Leave a church. In My account, tap Leave followed by the church's name. Your account is unlinked from that church; the church keeps its own records.
• Turn off notifications for a device, or choose Log out & forget this device to remove the check-in link saved on a shared phone. Both are in My account.

To remove your photo, or to have other details or your whole church profile erased, ask your church's administrators: they manage the church's records and can delete a profile permanently. Or email us and we will help: support@churchverse.app (subject Data deletion request).
